Following on from the incredibly impressive S60, the all-new Cat S61 takes what made that phone stand out and improves on every aspect.

With many modern smartphones, it can difficult to really see the differences between them. Often they have similar specification and features, with only really the design to set them apart.

The CAT S61 is radically different. It has been designed specifically as a tool for tradespeople, but would also suit anybody looking for a thoroughly rugged smartphone with useful features beyond the norm.

Just like its predecessor, Cat S61 has an integrated FLIR Thermal Camera. This time around it has been improved with a greater temperature range and image resolution. Also included are a VOC indoor air quality meter and humidity sensor. Rounding off the array of sensors is an accurate laser-assisted area and distance measurement lens.

Of course, it is also very tough; Gorilla Glass 5 adorns the screen panel and the whole casing is made from strengthened die-cast aluminium. The MIL-SPEC 810G & IP68 ratings certify the phone as able to withstand drops of up to 1.8 metres and survive being submerged in up to 3 metres of water for 1 hour.

Dual SIM

Cat manufactures the S61 as a hybrid dual SIM phone. The phone can use 2x nano-SIM cards. The second SIM tray is a ‘hybrid’ type which doubles with the micro SD card. If you use a 2nd SIM card, you will not be able to use an additional micro SD card.
